GCBA Expansion into Alberta
Building the German-Canadian Business Network Across Western Canada
The German Canadian Business Association (GCBA) has long been a hub for connecting and supporting German-Canadian businesses in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Now, our vision is expanding to create a network across Western Canada, where businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals from German-speaking countries can connect and grow.
Our first major step outside British Columbia is happening now with the GCBA expansion into Alberta. With Alexandra Liebrecht, Director of Alberta, joining our Board of Directors earlier this year, we began laying the foundation in March. GCBA is now registered in Alberta and ready to begin activities. It’s an exciting step that allows us to strengthen ties beyond BC and provide value to even more members.
Expanding into Alberta means more than broadening our reach. It means creating new spaces for collaboration, opening doors for business opportunities, and uniting communities across provinces. Each new region brings unique strengths and potential. Together, these connections strengthen the fabric of German-Canadian business relations in Western Canada.
While Alberta is our priority, we’re also exploring opportunities in the Okanagan and beyond. We encourage anyone who shares this vision to join us, whether you’re in another part of Western Canada looking to build a German-Canadian business community or simply want to support our journey of growth.
The GCBA is more than a business association. It’s a network of people passionate about building bridges, creating value, and learning together as we grow. If you’re interested in helping us expand into your region, we’d love to hear from you.
