Alexandra Liebrecht: German Immigration Consulting in Canada

When people dream of starting a new life in Canada, they need more than a visa. They need expert guidance and trust. ProCanada Consulting represents German immigration consulting in Canada, led by Alexandra Liebrecht (née Weipert). She is the Director of Alberta on the GCBA Board of Directors and President of ProCanada Consulting Inc. in Calgary.

Strengthening the German–Canadian Business Community

In her GCBA role, Alexandra works to expand the association’s presence across Alberta and to deepen connections within the German-Canadian business community. Her international background and professional expertise bring a valuable perspective to the Board, helping GCBA foster cross-border collaboration and regional growth.

An International Journey

Born and raised in Munich and now a Canadian–German citizen, Alexandra has built her career on international experience and cross-cultural exchange. She studied political science and sociology at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and at Sciences Po in Paris. During her studies, she gained a deep understanding of governance, migration, and global perspectives.

Early professional stations at the Bavarian Parliament, the Embassy of France in Berlin, Stiftung Familienunternehmen, and leading communications firms equipped her with deep experience in international policy and cross-cultural relations, where entrepreneurs and government meet to foster innovation and growth.

She also remains deeply engaged in cultural exchange. Today, Alexandra serves on the Board of the Alliance Française in Calgary, fostering connections across European communities. During her time in Munich, she was part of the Bavarian planning committee of the Deutsch-Kanadische Gesellschaft e.V. and is still closely connected to the organization, which first introduced her to Canada through a host family stay in Québec as a teenager. This experience laid the foundation for her lifelong ties to Canada.

Turning Passion Into a Profession

After moving to Canada in 2020, Alexandra transformed her passion into her profession. She earned her Canadian Immigration Practitioner Certificate at Ashton College in Vancouver, became a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration and Citizenship Consultant (RCIC R708128), and is also an emigration consultant registered with the German Federal Office of Administration under the Emigration Protection Act (AuswSG).

In 2021, she assumed leadership of ProCanada Consulting Inc. as the third generation of the family business.
