Meet the 2025 Board of Directors of the German Canadian Business Association
The German Canadian Business Association proudly announces its 2025 Board of Directors. This dynamic group of professionals brings decades of global experience, industry leadership, and a shared vision for growing the German Canadian business community across British Columbia and Alberta. With expertise in real estate, finance, immigration, hospitality, and strategic advisory, the new board is ready to lead the GCBA into its most impactful year yet.
Andrea Basche—President
Andrea Basche brings over 40 years of leadership to her role as president. Her career began in Germany’s real estate sector, where she served as CEO for several family-owned development firms. Later, her entrepreneurial drive led her into the healthcare sector, where she founded a wellness-focused company. Andrea‘s vision is that GCBA will become Canada’s most valuable platform for connection and collaboration.
Alexander Jecht—Vice President
Alexander Jecht has joined our Board of Directors as Vice President. With over 35 years of senior management experience in European financial institutions and as head of a Vancouver-based Family Office for German-speaking investors, he brings strategic expertise, project management skills, and a large network to support GCBA’s growth.
Jens Schuster—Director of Business Development
As an entrepreneur and travel industry leader, Jens Schuster brings a fresh outlook to business development. He is based in Vancouver and holds a degree in International Business Management from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Jens is passionate about building cross-cultural partnerships and driving sustainable growth. His focus at GCBA will be to expand member opportunities through innovative programs and global connections.
Kirsten Friedrichs—Director of Membership
Kirsten Friedrichs was born in Germany and has worked in marketing and sales for over two decades. Since moving to Canada in 2013, she co-founded ADEPT24 Business Solutions Inc. There, she oversees finance, HR, and sales. Kirsten brings a strategic mindset and international experience to the GCBA. Her role will focus on increasing member engagement and growing the community throughout British Columbia.
Britt Lampe, CPA, CGA—Treasurer
Britt Lampe is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Partner at Manning Elliott in Vancouver. She leads the firm’s German Practice Group, helping German-speaking clients navigate Canadian and cross-border tax matters. Britt has worked in both German and Canadian accounting firms, bringing financial clarity and discipline to the Board of Directors. Her guidance will help ensure GCBA’s continued financial health.
Alexandra Liebrecht —Director of Alberta
Alexandra Liebrecht is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and the founder of ProCanada Consulting Inc. Born in Munich and now a proud German-Canadian citizen, she has helped hundreds of professionals and entrepreneurs immigrate to Canada since 2000. As director of Alberta, Alexandra will support the growth of GCBA’s presence across the province and strengthen the association’s regional reach.
Sabine Just —Director Events
Sabine Just specializes in bringing you the best homes for sale and real estate listings in the area. Whether you are buying a home, selling a home, or need help securing a Home Mortgage, I’ve got you covered. Since joining the GCBA 1n 2024, she has supported our business forums and networking events with thoughtful input, and her background in event planning and business engagement adds great value to the GCBA.
For you —Director Marketing
The GCBA is looking for a Director of Marketing to join our active Board of Directors. This role takes the strategic lead on all marketing activities, from social media and public relations to newsletter engagement, supported by the Secretary and Membership Director. If you are passionate about communication and would like to help strengthen the GCBA’s visibility in the German-Canadian business community, feel free to reach out.
