GCBA Event Participation Waiver and Release of Liability
By registering for or attending any event organized by the German Canadian Business Association (GCBA), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in GCBA events may involve certain risks, including but not limited to minor injuries, property loss, or unforeseen circumstances. I voluntarily assume all risks related to my attendance and participation.
- Release of Liability
I hereby release and discharge the GCBA, its directors, members, volunteers, event partners, sponsors, and venue hosts from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, or damages arising from or related to my participation in the event, to the extent permitted by law.
- Personal Responsibility
I understand that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings and conduct during the event. I agree to behave respectfully and follow any instructions or guidelines issued by event organizers or venue staff.
- Health & Safety
If I am feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of any communicable illness, I will not attend the event. I acknowledge that while reasonable precautions may be taken, GCBA cannot guarantee a risk-free environment.
- Photography & Media Release
I acknowledge that photos and/or videos may be taken at the event for promotional or archival purposes. By attending, I grant GCBA permission to use my image for marketing, social media, or documentation, unless I explicitly request otherwise in writing before the event.
- Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCBA from any loss, liability, or legal expenses incurred due to my actions, behavior, or breach of this agreement during the event.
- Governing Law
This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
By proceeding with event registration or attendance, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to this waiver.
